If we could talk to the animals… they’d be happy with what we’re doing for them as part of the Defra Higher Level Environmental Stewardship scheme, designed to protect wildlife without affecting farm production. Pheasants, buzzards and brown hares are among the various species of mammals on the farm and there are many types of insects and plants, too. They are safe with us.
Love is in the air
Meet Barney and Beryl, our resident barn owls. We think it’s a hoot that Barney had the wit to woo Beryl… and we’re ‘eggstatic’ that the happy couple have set up home here at Claremont Farm. All being well, the ‘nest’ generation will be hatched in Spring and we’ll keep you updated. Watch this space!
