Andrew Pimbley from Claremont Farm and award winning chef Brian Mellor have joined forces to give you an inspiring range of food and farming experiences at Claremont Farm.

Chef ‘n’ farmer will educate and entertain you as you share in their passion for food and farming, discovering exactly what’s on offer right on your door step.

Andrew has worked all over the globe, from tobacco farming in Zimbabwe to cattle ranching in Venezuela. Drawing on all his past adventures and tales of eating everything from cane rat and grass hoppers to wild bore and piranha fish, every walk is an experience in itself, guaranteed not only to enlighten but entertain you.

From educational Farm Walks that change with the seasons, to Chef ‘n’ Farmers’ unique Field to Fork evenings.

Our very popular Chef n Farmer evenings usually start at 7pm with a stroll across the fields to harvest seasonal produce, beginning with our famous asparagus at the end of May through to August with our strawberries and other soft fruits and vegetables.

Take a stroll across the land with Andrew the farmer to the asparagus field. You will hear all there is to know about the crop and get the chance to harvest your own spears. Then guests return to the kitchen where Brian will demonstrate his culinary skills and giving you the opportunity to sample the vegetable, pick up cookery tips and then enjoy a fantastic asparagus inspired meal together.

Field to fork days

These fun packed days or half days start with the farm walk, harvesting the seasonal produce before returning to the kitchen where Brian will get you involved in preparing a hearty meal for you at the end of the session.

Brian will use all his culinary skills to guide you through your day, with plenty of tasters and handy tips on how to make your food stand out from the rest. This unique chance to get into the kitchen with a master chef is an experience you won’t forget.
